This course is currently only available to the South Yorkshire region.

The course has been developed with Dr Shalini Kurian, a Consultant in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia at the Northern General Hospital, Sheffield. We are also indebted for the help of a multidisciplinary faculty of Perfusionists, Cardiothoracic Surgeons and ODP's.

The course simulates the challenging process of managing the intricacies of putting a patient on and off cardiopulmonary bypass.

Attendance at the course is linked with the Cardiac Anaesthesia training programme and places are allocated through the Cardiac Anaesthesia Department, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals.
