Despite the current financial gloom and a call from all quarters to tighten their belts and save money, Clare Chapman, Director General of Workforce at the Department of Health told the Health Service Journal that training is still important to increase productivity and help Trusts emerge from the economic downturn stronger than ever!

She goes on to talk of modern solutions that are time effective, but give doctors the expertise they need when the European Working Time Directive comes into force in August 2009.  Highlighting once again the benefits of simulation training.
