CICV - Airway Scenarios on Intensive Care (NAP4 Team training)

Course Information

This course delivers intensive care team training focussing on airway emergencies.  The 4th National Audit Project of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (NAP4) was published in March 2011.  It examined a cohort of airway emergencies in operating departments, intensive care units and emergency departments.  Several recommendations were made in relation to intensive care, human factors and training;

“Team training scenarios should reinforce the use of guidelines within the clinical arena”, there should be an “Opportunity for multidisciplinary teams working with the difficult airway to train together within simulated scenarios to practice technical and non-technical skills”.

Montagu Clinical Simulation Centre is pleased to offer opportunities for multidisciplinary intensive care teams to practice simulated airway scenarios in their own unit using a mobile high fidelity manikin.  To arrange this training, please contact our centre administrator to discuss dates.
