Dental Emergencies 1, 2 and 3

Course Information

Dental Emergency courses run by the MCSC are half-day courses and provides an educational tool which simulates an emergency event which could potentially occur within the Dental Practice. Simulation training introduces the concepts of crisis avoidance and resource management. It also enables practices to return with the knowledge and skills to address crisis avoidance and management within their own environment

It is recommended that these simulation courses are held approximately one year apart and provide multidisciplinary simulation training for Community Dental Teams.   It is imperative that all dental practices train as a team in dealing with medical emergencies, and simulator based crisis management courses are an effective educational tool.  These courses aim to help improve training in common medical emergencies and improve human factors awareness within dental teams.
